A Pair of Detentions Following Heathrow Irritant Spray Attack

This incident caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
